Please was a Filipino funk sextet who made two LPs and a handful of singles for Telefunken / London Records between 1975-1977. Their second LP has been reissued on CD in South Korea (by Big Pink) and Japan (by Vivid Sound). Their first album has never been reissued.

Soundtrack composer Mychael Danna (Exotica, The Ice Storm, The Sweet Hereafter, Monsoon Wedding, Capote, Tideland, Surf's Up, Moneyball, Life of Pi, The Good Dinosaur, Onward) directed and arranged this LP of synthesizer versions of a variety of Classical warhorses in 1980 while he was studying at the University of Toronto.

When Coral released this record in 1955, the be-gowned and be-pearled woman on the cover looked less like she'd just been told a joke and more like she'd been formally introduced to one, specifically Mr. Joke of the Connecticut Jokes, and she's charmed and delighted and checking discreetly for a wedding ring. Now, here in the future, you and I are at the great party that is my blog and unfortunately now I have to point in the corner and whisper "Look, I think it's O.J." It's interesting, it's historic, it's time to find the valet. Many recognize Laugh of the Party as the world's first comedy LP; it's a milestone. It also contains Buddy Hackett telling a joke about a Chinese waiter. I mean, the bit with Hermione Gingold and Billy De Wolfe is charming, and listening to a track by Bob and Ray is never a mistake, but otherwise - yeah, let me get your coat.

"By jingo, it's English rubbish!" Hot jazz revival tunes by the three best-known outfits of 1960s Britain, some more gloriously art-school-damaged than others. Bonzo completists will note that two of their songs, "My Brother Makes the Noises for the Talkies" and "Alley Oop", are slightly different than the versions that have been appearing on Bonzo reissues since the 1990s ("My Brother" has a longer opening which quotes the Laurel & Hardy signature tune, and "Alley Oop" here is missing the audience screams that are included in reissue versions).
