In the 1970s Hilly Michaels was an occasional drummer for
Sparks, which was a closed shop for the Brothers Mael in terms of songwriting. By 1980, Michaels had
enough songs saved up to make this debut album for Warner Bros. To an
8-year-old me in 1980, this would have been the most awesome thing possible, if
I’d known about it at the time. Now that I finally own it, I say: Fuck the
8-year-old me, this is the most awesome thing of all time ever.

I remember seeing the promo video for the title track on the weird syndicated show Rock N' America. I had no idea who Hilly Michaels was. I assumed some mid-70s rock star.
