I was trolling through old posts here on your site just yesterday.
Something put me in mind of this exact album - - which you hadn't yet posted.
My thought was: "I wonder if Taylor takes requests? I'd love to hear the Rhino Royale album again... Not the "Rhino *Circus* Royale" album, mind you, but the one with The Winos & Ruben Guevara... hmm, maybe too obscure, I dunno..."
Bam. The thought in my head, and less than 24 hours later, here 'tis.

I'm glad that when the comedy demons whispered in your ear that you needed something, I was able to provide it! When the comedy demons whisper in my ear, I for one listen. Yes, you're correct, I've seen this with different color variants for the cover. I think there was even a different mask in some copies? Or did I imagine that? Google image search returned no results for a Wild Man Fischer mask. Maybe it's only wishful thinking on my part.

ReplyDeleteMy dad played guitar on some of the tracks on this album and also is the voice of "Richie Balance," the picture of "Richie Balance" on the album was of an awkward guy who hung out in the Rhino Records store quite a bit... I remember a Wild Man Fischer mask...
