The Credibility Gap: Woodschtick and More

The first album with the classic Gap lineup of Beebe/Lander/McKean/Shearer. Side 1 is an aural history of Woodschtick, the comedy festival to end all festivals. The flipside, "Eartwitness News", tries to go into Firesign Theatre territory with only partial success; but it's worth diving in for the fake ads like "Dammitol" (take only as directed). Rolling Stone hated this when it came out and the Gap don't look back on it with fondness today, but in fact "Woodschtick" is brilliant.
