From the collection of Phil Proctor comes this 1976 tie-in single from the doomed sketch comedy movie Tunnel Vision. Side 1 is a collage of bits from the film, and side two is the theme song. Michael Mislove & Neal Israel wrote the comedy material; Dennis Lambert & Brian Potter wrote the music.

Hey! Still just having so much fun with your site and the amazing treasures you're sharing.
ReplyDeleteSo! SPEAKING of doomed comedies, Proctor & Bergman and film director Neal Israel - - "Americathon" was Israel's next film, in 1979 - - based on Proctor & Bergman's play. Not a good movie, but some amazing bits & pieces scattered within (including Zane Busby).
Maybe you can help with a question about the soundtrack. There was an odd pop-laden soundtrack album released, with tracks by The Beach Boys, Eddie Money and Elvis Costello. It also had one song performed in the film by Zane Busby - - and one by Harvey Korman - - "Gold".
Okay. Harvey Korman had another song, towards the end of the movie; "My Life" - - a Sinatra-esque lounge parody. Do you know if a recording of that song exists anywhere in its entirety? In the movie it's only excerpted, but I figure there had to have been a full version recorded.
You've pulled some rarer-than-rare rabbits out of your hat before... Perhaps you have some insight here? Or a thought about where I should be searching?
Thanks again!
